Where we've been...Where we're going

We are about seven weeks in to our journey and thought we would do a recap:

Countries Visited: 5 (Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands).
Airbnb Homes: 10
Fights taken: 8
Hot Dogs eaten: 60-ish
Pictures Taken: 10,000-ish
Bullet Trains Ridden: 1
Roller Coasters Ridden: 6

We have learned a lot and are beginning to book our ongoing adventures after South Africa. We have about four weeks here in Scotland and Great Britain, ten days in Ireland, then off to Tanzania for a two week safari. After that, we are going to settle down for an entire month in Cape Town, South Africa.  This will take us to the end of October.

We thought it would be good to update our pathway, and again, put out the word to ask for any advice you might have for places we intend to visit. Also, we'd love some company. Should our pathway inspire your own getaway, let's try to align our calendars.

Updated timeline:
Oct 25 - Oct 29: Dubai
Oct 29 - Nov 5: Perth, Australia
Nov 6 - Nov 12: Melbourne, Australia
Nov 13 - Nov 18: Sydney, Australia
Nov 19 - Nov 25: Whitsunday Islands (Bareboat Sailing again!)
Nov 26 - Nov 30: Cairns, Australia
Dec 1 - Dec 28: New Zealand (planning for mostly RV trip)
Dec 29 - Jan 3: Raratonga

Aberdeen:
We arrived in Aberdeen, Scotland yesterday. The steering wheel was not installed correctly in our rental car, and the roundabouts swirl in the wrong direction as though watching a drain in the southern hemisphere. Our Airbnb cottage is like one of those baby redwood trees that is growing at the base of a mamma redwood tree. We're surrounded on all sides by stone buildings as though we are in the courtyard of medieval battle fortress. The only real problem with this place...We're near a harbor. Harbors have seagulls. These particular seagulls are the avian version of the Montagues and Capulets waging verbal battles 24 hours a day.
