After Africa, Dubai, and Now Beginning of Australia, Autumn's thoughts

First of all, let me say how much I loved South Africa. Maybe it was partly my mind finally at ease and less stressed when I was given the whole month in South Africa do catch up on my schoolwork, but it was for sure in part because of how amazing the place is. Our hosts were amazing as well as the house we stayed in. The geological features (Table mountain, beautiful beaches, expansive areas of pure pointy hills) were fun to look at as well. I will sure miss South Africa, and I would want to come there again in the future.

Dubai, however, is not a place I would like to visit again. Our 4 day stay was plenty for me, thank you very much. I don't want to be sounding rude, but I just didn't enjoy being there. Some people reading this know I strongly dislike heat, humidity, stickiness, sand, and big cities. In my opinion, that is exactly what Dubai is. I will admit, the Burj Khalifa was impressive, and the malls are pretty good, but I would much rather be freezing in Iceland than dying of heat in Dubai. My mom disagrees with me on this. We agree to disagree.

On the bright side, I love Australia so far. The people are so fun and nice, and the temperatures here are just like at home! I still struggle with homesickness and missing my friends almost every day, and I've found that I do really like the life I had back home. Since Australia so far has been similar but with a better accent, it's almost as good as home. If you couldn't already tell, I LOVE accents.

Yesterday I got to borrow my dad's camera for the day, and I messed around with it. Here are some photos:

The quokkas were very attracted to Bryce for some reason...

I personally thought Zane could be a model based upon this shot I took of him.

The cute little things often came up to me and started sniffing my hand...sometimes it made me jump when I was in the camera.

The colors of the water were beautiful.

Mom was also intrigued by them

That's about all...again, if you have any questions about my thoughts, feel free to email me about them.

G'day, mate!
