Steve (aka Daddy) - Travel is in his blood. One of his greatest joys is the first moment stepping off a plane in a new, uncharted place. It's the exhilaration that everything that will happen, will happen for the first time. Steve loves to hike, camp, take pictures, read non-fiction, explore, snowboard (too bad the trip is an endless summer), and.... fix stuff.
- Really looking forward to: Ireland Countryside, and Tanzanian Safari.
Nicole (aka Mommy) - She never really traveled growing up, but after several trips with Steve, she doesn't want to stop. Dancing, cooking, eating, crafting, nurturing (plants and people), exploring and snowboarding are her loves, along with an interest in all things related to people and their cultures. She cannot wait to experience this world through her own eyes (and ears, mouth, nose, hands) - not those of books or the internet.
- Really looking forward to: Living in Italy, exploring Australia again, and visiting Paris
Autumn (aka Otter) - The oldest child, she does not know what to expect on this journey as she cannot recall the time she has journeyed out of her home country. She enjoys volleyball, piano, flute, girl scouts, snowboarding, cross country skiing, hip hop dance, hiking, camping and time with her friends. She will miss them the most while she is gone. She makes the best cookies and frozen yogurt and can't wait to try these, along with breads (one of her favorite food groups), from other countries as she travels.
- Really looking forward to: Seeing Mt Fuji, and taking as many pictures as possible.
Zane (aka Zany) - Definite middle child, Zane loves the company of people and observing his surroundings. He loves getting out and about and will always be up for whatever activity is available - should come in handy when we explore new places. Fortunately, he has a great sense of direction, which should help us navigate our many adventures. Zane loves playing Lacrosse, Snowboarding, Skateboarding, and just about every other form of sport. But most of all, he loves just being around others.
- Really looking forward to: Hiking through the Daintree Rainforest in Australia
Bryce (aka Bryceee) - Playing games and piano are some things the youngest likes to do. His favorite food is hot dogs and he cannot wait to try one from every country he visits. He enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places with his family and friends. Baseball, bowling and soccer are so fun for Bryce. He hopes to meet kids around the world to play these sports with him.
- Really looking forward to: Finding cool shells on beaches
